We’re pretty sure that once you try it, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it.
You see, toning your scalp is a bit like toning your skin; some people skip this step or let it slide but once they find the right toner for them or take it up again, it’s a revelation. Toning the skin refreshes it, removing any excess product or build-up and can soothe, exfoliate or stimulate depending on what active ingredients can be found in your toner. Which might not sound that exciting but it’s one of those things you have to feel to believe. Add to this the benefit of seeing the results, primarily in reduced (or non-existent) dryness, flakiness and itchiness but in the health of your hair as well, and it’s a step worth taking.
For the team here at Philip Kingsley, the health of the scalp and the health of the hair are inextricably linked. When you use a toner in your haircare regime, it helps cleanse and tone the scalp which supports a healthy environment for the follicle which then has a positive effect on the growth and health of the hair. Philip Kingsley toners do not weigh down the hair but help reduce excessive oil production and can keep the skin clean and clear between washes.

Tip your head back when applying to avoid any run-off going into your eyes and rub in with your fingertips - no need to rinse, it’s a leave-in product. You can also use a toner on dry hair between washes for a quick refresh and to keep that clean feeling for a little while longer.
